International Students Join Jiujiang "5.18 International Museum Day" as Youth Bridge Connecting World Civilizations
Jiujiang, Jiangxi, May 18, 2026 – Under the theme "Museums: Bridging the World," international students from Jiujiang University participated in the 2026 "5·18 International Museum Day" main event at the Jiujiang Museum, experiencing Chinese culture and building cross-cultural bridges through youth.

The students took part in the opening ceremony, flag-raising, and oath-taking, cultural relics donation, exhibition tours, and intangible cultural heritage activities. Rana Muhammad Shahzaib, a Pakistani student, delivered a speech sharing his life and cultural insights in Jiujiang.

In interactive zones, students tried bronze mirror rubbing, lacquer fan calligraphy, and Ruichang paper-cutting, while appreciating precious artifacts, including a Shang Dynasty bronze nao and a Yuan Dynasty blue-and-white vase.
Rana said: "This has become one of the most unforgettable experiences in my university life."
Saad, another student, noted: "Museums are bridges connecting different cultures and generations." I deeply felt the warmth of China-Pakistan friendship. "
The event was hosted by the Jiujiang Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports, and co-organized by the Jiujiang Museum Alliance, Jiujiang Museum, and Lushan Museum. A representative from Jiujiang University stated that the college will continue to encourage international students to become young ambassadors for spreading Chinese culture and promoting mutual learning among civilizations.
